About Panchkula Extension -2

Panchkula is a planned city in Panchkula district of Haryana. It is a satellite city of the Union Territory Chandigarh and it is a dream place for people to own their home.

Under the extension plan of Panchkula, 24 new sectors have been planned on the Panchkula Yamunanagar  highway (NH-73). The new integrated township will be spread over an area of 6,767 acres. The township has been planned after considering all significant points like sufficient parking lots, green belts etc. Besides, a 100-metre wide green belt has been proposed on both sides of the Panchkula-Yamunanagar highway. Also, an area of 647 acres has been proposed for parks, green belts, fuel filling stations and water bodies. Panchkula extn.-2 will have sector 17 dedicated to commercial activities on the similar line of Sector 17 of Chandigarh. Sector 18 will have Governor House, Central Secretariat, District Offices, Law Courts, Educational, Cultural and Medical Institutions, Sector 9 will be dedicated to create IT Park. 

The township has been planned to cater to the ever-rising demand for land along the highway and on the outskirts of Panchkula. For better movement of traffic and connectivity to areas in the township proposal to construct flyovers on the highway has also been made.
